Ken Cloyd


Ken earned his undergraduate degree in Political Science and Legal Studies from the University of Illinois at Springfield. He attended Northern Illinois University College of Law and graduated Magna Cum Laude. While attending NIU, Ken served as an assistant editor for the NIU Law Review and served on the boards of the Trial Advocacy and Criminal law societies.  After graduating, Ken worked as an Assistant Public Defender in central Illinois where he represented countless clients in major traffic, DUI, misdemeanor, and juvenile cases. 

Ken also has substantial civil litigation experience gained from five years of experience at a national civil defense firm where he gained invaluable insight by representing clients in all stages of complex litigation. Ken is a meticulous litigator who understands that the best result for your client comes from being more prepared than the other side and preparation starts when you accept a case, not when it’s assigned a trial date

Ken is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, the Kane County Bar Association, and the Illinois Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers

In his free time, Ken enjoys spending time with his wife, traveling, and going to baseball games.
